A physical therapy aide and administration assistant works alongside and under the direction of a physical therapist. Due to the laws and regulations in different states, the physical therapy aide’s tasks may vary. However, they typically are responsible for keeping the treatment area clean and organized, scheduling next sessions, completing insurance forms, and helping patients move from or to the treatment area.

Upon completion of the program, students will be prepared to take the Physical Therapy Technician/Aide Certification (PTTC) exam and the Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) exam.

The PTCC exam shows that you have mastered the skills and knowledge necessary to work successfully as a Physical Therapy Aide and Administration Specialist.

CMAA

Certified Medical Administrative Assistant

The Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (CMAA) certificate helps you gain the skills to provide administrative support in a medical setting. Demonstrate your expertise in the field and become qualified for a number of administrative duties, as well as direct contact with patients in clinical settings.
